Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the DJ Tunez platform (the "Service"), including our website and any associated mobile applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DJ Tunez is a platform that enables fans at live events to submit song requests to DJs and pay for those requests via Stripe. We act as a technology intermediary between fans (requesters) and DJs (performers). We do not guarantee that any requested song will be played.

3. User Accounts

  • Fans do not require an account to submit song requests but must provide a valid email address.
  • DJs must register for an account and complete identity verification through Stripe Connect.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service.

4. Payments & Refunds

  • All payments are processed securely by Stripe. DJ Tunez does not store your card details.
  • Song request fees are set by the DJ and are displayed before you complete a purchase.
  • Payments are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or the DJ fails to receive your request due to a technical error on our part. Requests that are skipped or not played by the DJ's creative choice are not eligible for refunds.
  • All currency amounts are displayed in the currency set by the DJ for their event.
  • DJ payouts are handled via Stripe Connect. DJ Tunez may deduct a platform fee from each transaction. The current fee structure is available in your DJ dashboard.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
  • Submit fraudulent, abusive, or harassing song requests.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the platform.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service.
  • Submit requests containing hate speech, threats, or illegal content.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with DJ Tunez are the exclusive property of DJ Tunez or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Music search is powered by the Spotify API. Spotify's own terms of service apply to any music content accessed through the Service.

7. DJ Responsibilities

DJs who use the platform agree to:
  • Maintain an active Stripe Connect account in good standing.
  • Set reasonable and lawful prices for song requests.
  • Not use the platform to collect payments for services not rendered.
  • Comply with all applicable laws at the venues where they perform.
  • Obtain all necessary performance licences required in their jurisdiction.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
  • That the Service will be available at all times or error-free.
  • That song requests will be fulfilled by the DJ.
  • The accuracy of third-party data (e.g., Spotify track metadata).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DJ Tunez shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of enjoyment at an event.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
